Bless the Lord, O my soul (see the comment on Psalms 103:1). O Lord my God, thou art very great. The keynote is struck at once. All the rest will be nothing but a development of this vast theme—God's greatness.

Thou art clothed with honour and majesty; or "thou hast robed thyself in glory and grandeur" (Cheyne).
