Revelation 22:11

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still; he that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still, etc.

(Revised Version). These words seem to be used ironically, as was sometimes the case with the prophets (cf. ; ). The intention seems to be to stir men up to a realization of the nature of their conduct in continuing to reject the warnings of God.

Note that the words immediately succeeding, as well as those immediately preceding, are connected with the judgment.
